Sunday Brunch ideas

Our family has a tradition of sunday brunch- the only time all of us actually get together and eat together :cb:
But lately we are getting bored of the menu and i was wondering if you all had any suggestions.
We do the omelette, keema or kabab, aaloo ki bhujia, fresh juice and paratha- some times the aaloo gets switched with channay and paratha with poori or bhatura.

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

A fritata or quiche goes really well for our desi brunches. You can also make spinach and ricotta rolls in phyllo dough. Absolutely :yummy:

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

I did something like that once and my taaya called it the IHOP nashta and said lets stick to the traditional meals :p

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

I visited your quaint little town last year and was horrified by the excesses you commit at breakfast

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

IHOP is a breakfast chain...stands for international house of pancakes.

Blackpudding is a type of sausage amde with pigs blood

Sausage made of PIGS BLOOD

admitidly its dried up pigs blood, mixed with animal fat and salt and herbs and some meat and ofal and grain

but basically PIGS BLOOD

Re: Sunday Brunch ideas

Sooraj-mukhi, have you ever tried working with puff pastry sheets? You can change up the menu a little or a lot by using these, they're simple, easy, and delicious! You can make puffy pastries filled with keema, vegetables, or even go the sweet way, filling them with sondesh, egg halwa, or even a store bought one. You can prepare them ahead of time and just keep them in the freezer for later. I tend to serve them with tea when I have guests coming over. Let me know if you want the recipes, and I'll be sure to post 'em.
