Following yesterday’s announcement of the 2011 Sundance competition slate, today we are excited to bring you the titles selected for the remaining sections, including Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Next, Spotlight and New Frontier. The biggest news, even if it was totally expected, is that Kevin Smith will return to Sundance with a film for the first time since premiering ‘Chasing Amy’ there in 1997. We had our assumptions months ago, and Smith himself confirmed it on his Smodcast yesterday, just as fans were complaining that ‘Red State’](Red State (2011) - Movie | Moviefone) was not on the list of competition titles (and thought to have been snubbed). Now it’s official. 17 years after ‘Clerks’ took Sundance by storm, the Class of '94 grad returns.

Smith’s new film joins the latest works of other vets including Gus Van Sant, Mark Pellington, Tom McCarthy, Dito Montiel and Jill Sprecher. The non-fiction premieres section is brand new this year and features new docs by such names as Morgan Spurlock, Steve James and Eugene Jarecki. All of these films and many more will make their world debuts at the fest. Montiel’s post-9/11 drama, ‘The Son of No One,’ starring Channing Tatum and Al Pacino, has been chosen as the Closing Night Film.

The complete list of films is posted after the jump. You can scope out the competition films over here.
