Sunblock?

Okay so Shiseido’s sunblock is Allah’s gift to mankind, I kid you not. Thanks Sumo for the wonderful suggestion, my delimma with sunblocks is now finally over. Now my question is, how often do I need to reapply it? I wear it in the morning time, do I need to put it on again in the evening when leaving work? That’s a gap of 8 hours I would say, it’s spf 55.

Re: Sunblock?

Is this sunblock good for very oily skin? I find it so hard to wear sunblock on the face because they are all SO greasy and they actually irritate my eyes after a while...

And why do you think it is so good? Could you explain...? Thanks!

Re: Sunblock?

My issue with sunblocks was the greasiness and white ghostly look it left on face, hands, etc. Even my purse, car and steering wheel had those white ugly spots (from wearing sunblock on hands). This one is amazing, it doesn't do any of that.. it disappears into your skin, I feel like I have nothing on my face. Before I felt like I needed to wear moisturizer under any sunblock, with this if I ever don't have time to do that, my skin doesn't feel dry at all.

It's a small tube, pricey but worth it.

Re: Sunblock?

ohhh, sounds like such a nice sunblock! you had all of the same issues i have. the other day i was sitting at work and wondered where 2 white hand prints came from on the thighs of my black slacks!!! sooo annoying...how much does it cost?

Re: Sunblock?

Im not sure, look it up on Sephora.. they even have a set now that comes with sunblock for face, for body and one for eyes.

Re: Sunblock?

thank goodness they just opened a sephora in my city recently! i hate ordering stuff online that i havent tried before

Re: Sunblock?

Shiseido eh :hmmm:… i have some of their products, but have never tried their sunblock… will give it a try, thanks Pareezay.

Re: Sunblock?

you have to reapply it if you have been sweating or in the water. and u should apply it after cleaning ur face, before moisturizer (and yeh with this one i never use moisturizer). i think if ur out in the sun then reapply this one every hour. but if ur just going to be at work all day and then drive the car straight home, i see no point of putting it on again. if ur gonna be going out and the suns out, then i say reapply but make sure then that u have no makeup on cuz it should be the first thing that goes on ur skin.

yep their set is an amazing deal with the sunscreen, eye cream, lip treatment, etc.

Re: Sunblock?

Thanks Pareezay, will have to try that one. How long does one tube last?

Re: Sunblock?

It goes on before moisturizer? I put it on after.
Also, this lady at Shiseido told me last year that SPF drops by the hour.. so thats why Im confused about reapplying it.

Re: Sunblock?

I purchased Shiseido's SPF 55 for face/body today from sephora. Which one do you guys recommend? should I exchange it for one that is only for the face?

Re: Sunblock?

Is this good for sensitive skin?

Re: Sunblock?

wht about Neutregina sunblock? is that good?

Re: Sunblock?

i totally love sheseido sunblock too! it's the best one i've ever tried and believe me i've tried A LOT
it's texture is amazing and it doesn't smell bad either
i have the cream one SPF 50 because i have dry skin and i use a moisturizer plus this
if you have oily skin then you can use this alone because its moisturizing enough for oily skin

As for re-applying
if you're out in the sun for more than an hour then you should re-apply
that's just my personal opinion :)
oh and SPF doesn't go down with time it actually goes down depending on your sun exposure time

You can also find this in places like Bay, Sears for canada and in US it should be at Macy's and such places too and of course sephora is all over

Re: Sunblock?

my sister got a bad reactions from neutrogena
but some people like it.... i would not buy such a cheap brand for sunscreen because if i hate it then i wouldn't use it :)

Re: Sunblock?

I just looked it up and apparently it is water resistant. Does this mean you have to buy their oil based cleanser to remove it? Or will a regular cleanser be able to remove it off your face?

Also, which one is better, the face creme or face/body lotion?

Re: Sunblock?

^i get the face cream. and no u dont need a separate cleanser for it.

Re: Sunblock?

sumorani do you use the same face sunscreen for hands and arms too?

Re: Sunblock?

if ur gonna be using it for your arms/legs etc, then get the lotion. if just mostly face, go for face cream. i use it on my hands (not arms) and it works fine.

Re: Sunblock?

what are some of the other good products from shisheido?
