You can get most of you little shoping done by you family members whoever is in Pakistan. just do the major shoping yourself when you're there.
Hotels is a good idea to have the wedding there especially in the summer.

Hey if she doesnt like her family's choice, then she has a right to do the shopping herself. Its a huge risk, letting ANYONE do your shoppnig, especially if its for your wedding! I got lucky, my dress and jewelery were nice, but i hated most of the other dresses...If she has the ability to go to Pak herself and get stuff, then by all means go ahead .... yeah it is her life and she can do watever she wants w/o someone butting in and makin em feel guilty for it...

^^ even my family means a lot to me , but that doesnt mean, i have to let any of khala who i hardly know do my wedding shopping, i mean family ki importance ki baat kahan se beech may ajati hai ... :)
and damn , that is really true, as SARA said, its really a huge risk, to let anyone do your wedding shopping, i mean thats such an special occasion, which u enjoy so much especially the "ur own wedding shopping" ka part kay yeh to hakk hota hai dulhan ka kay wo apni pasand ki shopping kare and as sara said, noone should feel guilty abt that ... those special moments or parts in ur life dont come often ... thats what i personally think ..

oh my god dont let anyone do ur shopping for u! i didn let my inlaws pick out anything sorry if thats mean but i even picked out all my wedding dresses cuz they know im obsessive about fashion and what outfit is more important in ur life than ur wedding outfit? they just have old fashion choices w. gaudy color and too much work and all that ugly gold....i had to do it all cuz im the one wearing it and i wanna feel beautiful and comfortable that day and i cant if i look hideous! even if they give u an outfit to wear barat/valima day i dont know i forget what traditions are...but u should also have a say in that...clothres for ur jehaz etc...they can pick that by themselves...whatever they choose fine...but yeah outfit and jewelry should be ur choice!

well, i guess that is going to be a bit difficult to have a say in that , as things are going quite complicated now.. peta ney poori ceremony and all that, hona bhi hai ya ney...
its like, all this shaadi thing has become a joke to everyone, as nobody is askin abt what I want, abt MY wishes,.. nothing !
thats why , i do not bother any more to say anything abt the wedding ... anyway, everything is quite complicated at the moment, but i still hope , kay family may se kisi ek ko akkal ya mujh par tars ajaye...

Doing your own wedding shopping is ofcouse one's choice, just trying to say one can do the major shopping (whatever personal things) themself leave the rest to the family member, things that are need for the wedding (which is not very important than the bridal item) which will give the bride some stress free.

good luck honey seems like things are complicated...but i made it clear to everyone beforhand that if things werent my way ....i would not get married...(lol..so ppl made sure i was in charge!) its our day after all.....desi have a messed up idea in thier heads that its the parents day have thier friends there and pick the things thy want........of course they are a huge part but not everything shoujld go thier way....its ur choice thats important above all.

In Rawalpindi u hav alot of options lik… lik …visit SOBIAS / DUPLEX / NIKHAR … All …these were affordable and reasonable too u dont need to visit mohalle kay parlorss…

yup i hav alittle personal experience .. meri apne behen ki april mai shaadi howe hai thts y ...:)...Beter tell me the location where ur in laws r living ..so that i can help u ...the nearest parlor that suits u well ...
vese honey ap ne tim bhooot galat rakha hai shaadi ,,anyway its ok ...the coming months were really hot ...if u can then at least wait for October ...i can understand the problem u will face in wedding day ...really extreme garmii ....Is tim span mai goo Pak mai reh tai hai woo be shaaadi nahi kertai ...anyway Allah khair karai ..Naik kaaam mai dair nahi kernah chahiyah ...:)
