Ruud lost interest in the weekly grind a fair few months ago. The old Ruud is a huge miss, but we hadn't had him for three years. He had grown stale and more interested in being goalcentric than the United cause.
Ruud had long needed a move. We knew that for years, Fergie cottoned on last year, and Ruud transfer requests has said as much. He is a great player, but we suffers bigtime when he lacks drive and hunger.
He stopped performing for us after 2003 and really should have been moved on sooner. We'll miss the old Ruud, the hungry Ruud who Real Madrid will have, but he has to move to recapture that desire. That player was long gone as far as we were concerned.
Thanks for the memories Ruud. I am going to miss ya!

Anyways, Man U officially signed Michael Carrick today. Its a good signing which makes their mid-field a lot stronger. Its good to see the new Man U under Malcolm Glazer sign players like Carrick, who are not established superstars, instead of the kind of players that Real Madrid signs these days.

I am Kool: Carrick is a good signing but too expensive. He has not proven himself at the highest level and either it will turn into a complete disaster financially or a masterstroke by Ferguson. Oh and he still had the audacity to blame Chelsea for signing over-priced players
