a weird signing i'd say given his age but ray van der sar has signed for man utd on a 2 year deal from fulham.

Van Der Sar is a quality keeper indeed but with his age in mind IMO he is a stop gap keeper till they find a worldclass new young keeper. I just cannot understand how they kept faith in Roy Carroll for so long

due to chelsea's money tactics, no club is willing to let go any of their star players....the transfer market seems to be in a stalemate. Where are all those big transfers gone!!!

The big names have realised Chelsea’s money is not worth it. Adriano, Et’o and Trezeguet have all quite rightly turned them down. And Crespo wants to stay at Milan :k:

Nes, It is not because of Money tactics. I think Adriano, Trezeguet, Etoo were never gonna leave their respective clubs where they played their best footballs.
Chelsea is desperately trying to find a striker but all big lubs seem to be hanging to thier star players. IMO Owen should move to chelsea if offered because If Robinho goes to Madrid, he will take Owen's place and Owen will have to move in January window anyways.

Summer market has come to life with the departure of Real Madrid duo Walter Samuel and Solari to inter. Solari has been quite brilliant whenever he got a chance in Real but due to their galactico status he never really got a long run. Samuel had a terrible first season with Real and he has left.
Apparently Liverpool has failed to offer Gerrard a contract and he seems to be on his way to Real Madrid. Quite a sale if it indeed turns out to be true.

Good move for Juve. They'll have a phenominal midfield with Emerson, Nedved, and Viera. I believe Kapo is their fourth, and he's pretty good too.

Vieira to Juve is a very good move for the Italian champs.
they now have an awesome midfield:
two great Def midf in the center and two great wingers in Nedved and Camoranesi.
