High School and College Students rarely realize how important it is to be well-read. Not only does it help in college, and even grad school admissions, but its a great way to learn and well, its worthwhile time-pass.
Here are some books I read recently that I really liked:
The Beautiful and Damned - Fitzgerald
The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand
The Once and Future King - T.H.White
Please add on folks!
Also read Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence.
Alive - Piers Paul Read
Any book by PG Wodehouse, Arundhati Roy, or Edward Said
Othello - Shakespeare
The education of Little Tree (a weird title, but good book) - Forrest Carter
The Little Prince - sorry, don't remember who wrote it:~/
1984 and Animal Farm - George Orwell
Cancer Ward - Alexander Solzhenitsyn
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
Any book by David Suzuki
Pity the nation - Robert Fisk
