My sister is getting married in Lahore this July. We reach Lahore in early July and will only have a few weeks to take care of the dress and jewelry situation. We have some questions and hope someone here can answer them:
The wedding will be at PC. Do they arrange the decor? What colors do they use for the tables, decorations, and so on? What kind of flowers? Do we have to tell them about what we want? My father said PC only serves one dish so those who have had their weddings at PC, what do you do for food? Since we are only having a one day wedding, we won’t be arranging a dinner on another day.
She will be buying her dress ready-made. What are some good bridal boutiques in Lahore that make non-traditional clothing? No heavy karahi and so on. She went through the pictures posted here and the only one she likes is this one, where can she find something like this?
She doesn’t like the traditional Pakistani jewelry but hasn’t seen the “gora style” in Lahore. If she gets something made, how long will the jeweler take? What jewelers in Lahore or Pindi/Islamabad have experience making the non-traditional style of jewelry with white gold? She wants only a teeka, a necklace (non-choker style), earrings, and a heavy bracelet (no bangles).
yes..they do the stage at PC..just acceptable ones..not veryyy nice ones..but if you want more,you can hire a wedding planner like zareen khalid or others to do it for you..
2.i dont know if you wil get a readymade dress like the one you posted..but you can try at Maria B..i have some friends who luckily got what they wanted from there(Readymade)..and you can go to the designer Sonia Azhar..she can make anything you want within 3-4 weeks or maybe less than that..she made my friend's nikah jora in 4 DAYS !!!
3.you can now get the 'gora' type jewellery now in lahore..in have sen some in bridal magazines by Ali Imran jewellers and waseem jewellers..waisay if you want to order a design of our choice,anyone will take a maximum of 2 weeks to make it
and waseem jewellers is in main liberty market..snd so is ali imran jewellers..there is another jewellery shop KARAT in the empire centre gulberg..it has really nice designs too
Mizz Malik, just wanted you to know, as my valima was at the PC in lahore as was my bil's, there are two halls in the PC there, one has a bigger chandelier and is in the new section of the hotel and other hall is in the front of the hotel.
I actually like the older hall for a few reasons, the shape is nicer and actual entrance was prettier.
But a few things to remember, if you have the larger Hall you cannot have helium ballons in your decoration in the hall or on the stage. Its a big no no.
Both times we had our friends do the stage and I was really happy with it. You dont have to use their decorators, you can use anyone you want to really..even the street vendors have permission to set up your stage.
The other thing to remember is you have to be on top of PC because they book mulitple events on the same date in the same location. I strongly recommend you get there early to ensure that the previous event clears out in a timely fashion so your peopl ehave ample time to set up.
