Just wondering what the trends of shalwars and kameezes is at the moment and specially for the summer
i heard something like dhutta/dhaka shalwar but how does that look like
also peti kamees? :S…are anarkallies still in fashion or just so yesterday?

I'm wondering the same because my friend's ma just left for Pak and surprisingly she decided to bring me some suits, which is great but I got no idea what's trendy at the moment nor does my friend or her mom as they haven't been to Pak in a long time. So now I have no idea what kind of suits she will bring for me, as I didn't even have the opportunity to talk to her personally before she left.
Her mom will go shopping for us in Islamabad. I pray they got some quite nice stuff and NOT too revealing. :S

i'm pretty sure they are all wearing long shirts with capris these days.
mostly sleeveless n no dupatta.
shalwars are pretty much extinct...only capris or straight legged pants or these realllly wide pants but i don't know what they are called.
look at the most recent gul ahmed lawn collection for sum casual dress ideas...or designers like hsy or karma for more fancy outfits maybe?

Ah alhamdulillah. She won't bring those patiala ones nor leggins. I hope for a normal shalwar but I love churidaar also. Anyways why do pakistani Shalwars expose the ankles?

long shirts wiv capris,staight pants,wide pants r in..pannel shirts ,angarkha style,A- line ,frock style with cap sleeves or sleeve less ,anarkali etc r in now days ...these all r worn wiv shalwar also but the shalwar r not ghair wali i mean patiala .

Long kameez's are in around 43 inches. Frock styles look really nice or A-line dress.
Trousers are in around 7-10 inches. Or 7in capris.
Rest is personal choice e.g. sleeveless or no dupatta. But I reckon you can only do that in Khi or Lahore! Lol!

Or why not in Multan, Jhelum, Mangla etc? ;)
Of course it also depends where in Khi and Lahore/ ISB etc. Lifestyle etc is different in Khi in some certain places. At least this is what I have seen. I can wear trousers etc at the airport, Park Towers, Forum, PC etc with ease in Khi. One evening party I went to in Khi was held in some club neat the seaside and the outfits women wore were very bold e.g. Liz Hurley type dresses. Lol!
Rest it is up the the individual really.

What are ajars :/ it reminds me of that pickle thing. I have so absolutely NO idea when it comes to desi fashion.
I'd never wear sleeveless kameez uggh I just would feel naked and I don't think they look nice at all, same goes for that kameez with leggins style. Simply yuck. However it's a personal choice.
I would love one of those A-line shirts or Anarkali styles, but one of my "beloved" friends said I'd NOT suit them because apparently I was too short. :(

Most dhaka pajamas are much wider and fall like a skirt because they are so wide.

ajars are the straight wide-leg pants. dhaka pajamas are an even wider leg and look more like a skirt because of all the fabric.
