Summer clothings for Newborns

Moms with babies born in summer I need your help.

Gosh I am so confused as what outfits to buy for the end of may due baby.

I live in Europe, so mild / hot summers are the norm. It can get hot from 20 till 35 C.

I just bought 3 such suits, different colours

it’s cotton shirt and light velvet pajama .. but I am thinking it might be too warm, so thinking of returning it ??

Anyway my 2 other babies were in fall/winter so it was easy to decide then … ?

just the upper body suit should suffice I think. You can use a light cotton wrapping sheet or receiving blanket to cover baby depending on how the temperature inside the house is

so the legs should be covered or not (lets say for going outside) ... we are not living in a desert!

Wont velvet make them too hot...??
Although my daughter was a few months old when it was summer here,but I used to dress her up in sleep n plays.Mostly because we had the AC on and I thought it might get a bit too cold for her.On days when we did not turn the AC on,I used to dress her up in bodysuits...but whenever we went out she was fully covered..I mean her legs and arms too..(but she was about 3-4 months at that time)...This also helped if we were ever outdoors,against any mosquitoes etc.
For a newborn,why dont you look into sleep n plays.Because I am sure you will have AC at home or whenever you take her out.

My son was born in summer so we used to put on cotton side snap shirts(http://www.gerberchildrenswear.com/Products/tabid/118/CategoryID/176/List/1/Level/a/ProductID/324/Default.aspx ) and leave bottom with just a diaper at night in first few weeks. During the day we used to put on cotton onsies and cute little socks and mittens. Babies feel heat too so putting them in light clothing is highly recommended during summer!

I used small rompers for her at home with very short sleeves. For outside light material frocks and other outfits like t-shirt & shorts.
