Re: Suicide…
Umm..few things right while few wrong as per my opinion and ofcourse i can be wrong like anyone else.
you are right when you say that a person is kinda trapped when he starts thinking of suicide. I put it in this way that he/she starts considering himself as in dark hole , and there is no way out so all he can do is to jump further dive in and finish himself to get out of misery.
Now pulling him out of hat condition is a real uphill task. It needs a lot of effort and determination. So one needs to say all what I’d said in earlier post, dont feel like repeating here. And yes then on the top of it you can add that religiously suicide is haram and u’ll get eternal punishment for that. But honestly if he’s considering suicide he’ll probably think you are speaking German to him.
I think If he’s like a real good muslim he’ll definitely not even think about suicide.
But this condition of depression and anxiety has very little to do with religion. And if you are trying to help such person, consider him as a human person and then later touch the religious side of him/her.
Now comparison b/w suicide rates of Pakistan with Canada/US is soo wrong. Its like apples and oranges. You think people dont commit suicide much in Pakistan becuz they are great muslims? Now wut about the ratio of other crimes? I’m sure murder rate is far more in Pak than here so wut about that?
Wrong comparison, wrong results..its that simple.
