You can help her … You can ask her to break her legs instead … Take her around to the poor and handicapped people who don’t live in houses and don’t have income. If she has nothing then breaking her legs will not be a large cost.

In the 80s my dad saw a man doing tawaf … He had no legs, just a stump for a single arm. He was dragging himself without help around doing his worship.

Show her real strife of people having their sons killed and families decimated. There is bound to be an example of real hope that she can thrive from … It should embarrass a person to think of suicide because they will realise if they get out from under themselves the world contains many people in bigger strife than them … And when asked “how are you?” they reply … “Alhumdillah” …
