Re: Suicide..

The one who commits suicide ... will be doing that act to themselves continuously until the Day of Judgment.

Life is useless unless you make it useful. Find a bird or fish to feed. A cat to house, or smile at people and say hello. All of a sudden your life has meaning. The meaning of your life is what you give it, you can't expect it to be given to you on a plate.

By the way, the choice is there for you to take ... however it is a haram choice to make. Why you think it should not have been haram makes me wonder if you believe that you have more wisdom that Allah (SWT). Or is it all about yourself?

My dad saw a man at umrah/Hajj, I was there perhaps not paying attention, but this man had no arms and no legs yet he was crawling around doing the tawaf around the kabah. Why is it that man felt he had the need to worship? Why is it that we are so well off but think that nothing is good for us?

It is all a matter of perspective. See the world and then you may realise where you fit in.

Allhumdulilah.. May ALLAH bless you and keep you happy like this way forever.. ameen

Re: Suicide..

err ok i knw suicide is haraam..just confused abt something....
say if someone commits suicide, then Allah ta'ala must have willed it..tht the death of so and so person should be like this...He must have known....how can anything happen without His permission.....just like if someone dies in an accident, tht is willed by Allah ta'ala, then isnt suicide also supposed to be willed by Him

Peace sa-Nafooz

This is not really a difficult question to answer. The appointed time of a persons death is not always the time of their death. Allah (SWT) is indeed Aware of both and facilitates both.

If it is an accident, suicide or like then it is considered NOT the appointed time. However, since Allah (SWT) has given us freedom of choice and facilitates us in that choice when we make silly decisions or lapses causing accidents, then these are 'freely' facilitated to change the course of the destiny of that person.

Destiny is a path that is mapped out, but when it is walked on the paths of others cross it and cause it to alter. The dynamic equilibrium is fully in the knoweldge of Allah (SWT) as well as each path as though it were not to be influenced by anything else.

Neha, my personal perception is the life is a gift from God. Allah test his belivers in different ways..both happiness and sorrows. You may have to face a lot of challenges but who knows whats coming next. myseries might not last forever and even if it does .. if you have faith God, Allah may have bigger rewards for you in the life here after... the eternal life.. You need to have faith. Life is a gift from God. Comitting suside is an act of Mayoosi.. it shows lack of faith.. one loses faith and takes his/her life.... Have you ever wondered what about life here after death... The eternal life... are you prepared for it.. have you done enough good deeds that will take you to heaven...

Think about this life as an exam...what you do here would determines where you end up in life here after... It may be hard but I would advice accepth these challenges and be thankful to God for what you have.. look at other peoples around you.. there might be a number of people in this world..that are in worse condition... who may not have good heath... or have food to eat.. think about all the other blessings Allah SWT blessed you with which others may not have..and thank him for that... and accept all these sufferings with the hope inshallah Allah SWT will reward you one day.

Think about Prophet P.B.U.H he had to go through alot of hardships in the beginining... He had a positive attitude when people used to throw stones at him and insult him... and eventually due to his hardships islam became one of the wide spread religon

Jazakallah psyah
it did clear my confusion, thanks:)

wassalam

Re: Suicide..

In bad times, life seems too long BECAUSE you cant see whats behind immediate problems/future.

I know couple of people who thought of suicide in their bad times. Those times were so bad that anyone will think of the option but now when their life is full of happiness the say they more they thank Allah, the less that they did not commit suicide.

btw, if you ask your neighbor to keep your dinner in their refrigerator coz your is not working and when at dinner time you ask to get it back and if you are told that "oh i was hungry I eat it", how will you feel?

Re: Suicide..

It is haraam for a very simple reason : it takes away a person's chance for repentance. People often forget that life's problems are not more important than their duty to God, no matter how difficult someone thinks a circumstance is their duty to God is above that, it is more important than your wealth, parents, spouse, children and pretty much everything else people spend their lives either wishing for, chasing after or enjoying.

It took me a long time to understand this.
