I just spoke to 1 of my cousin in Pak and she was saying that she is at someone else’s house at the moment. She was at the house of her neighbor (from the place where she used to live before). One of the person in the household shot himself and commited suicide. Only Allah knows best what was the cause of death but this should serve us as a reminder. Life is a precious gift from Allah and we should take it as such. Everyone has problems in his/her life but that doesn’t mean that we eliminate this precious gift.
Those who commit suicide throw an axe on their own feet but what are we doing? Aren’t we also doing the same thing, except at a slower pace? :hinna:
I have seen somebody who hung himself, a family friend, he was only 24 at that time... about nine years ago and you cannot imagine what I went through and how it affected my thinking process and led me owards a better understanding of deen and world. It was a major turning point for me.
PS. Committing suicide is HARAAM .... a person does so remains in hell fire .. but as the thread opener said no matter how many difficulty or problems we are facing .. it dnt mean we give up this precious gift .. a person who has bad deeds etc will eventually be taken out of hell fire (as its our imaan......as long as he/she is muslim .. but a person who committs suicide be it muslim .. will never be taken out fro hell ...basically.. he/she is non muslim no longer since they ve committed suicide...
...yea sad indeed .... and SELFISH aslo ..cos those who committ suicide dunt think what pain and agony they will put their loved ones once they die .. .. i was in pakistan few years bak .. and one of our neighbours ... a young lad aged round 22 - 24 committed suicide ..hanged himself ..... no one til today knows why he committed suicide .... but the painful thing was that he put his family in to pain to ..cos the day he committed suicide was Eid Ul Adhaa ... just before when everyone was about to perform their qurbaanis ... so think .. how bad your brothers and sisters relatives feel when a person committs suicide ... its painful enuf when a person passes away a natural cause ....... so why be selfish and take ur own life and leave the once you love behind in misery ...
... and just a few months later ... after the above incident .... a young girl ... she was about to get married ... and her family was happy and all that ..BUT the problem was that she never told no one except one of her bro ... that she dunt want to get married to this lad .... the bro who knew about this ..came to my unkil to talk to on this issue that my unkil talk to his parents that our sister dunt want to get married to this lad... so my unkil said ok ...... on that same day ... whilst the girls bro was with my unkil .. she comitted suicide by shooting her self under the chin by blowing her head off with a rifle..... she had her lil neice with her to look after and she put the lil girl to slp outisde in the veranda and locked the room from inside and switched the tv on loaded the rifle and lyed down on the bed and pulled the trigger .....
What i / others to learn from this is that never be to hesitant in making decisions ... and make ur self heard ... tell ur parents or whoevr is above u or listens to u ...that you have troubles ...and u cant do such and such thing ... or u dunt agree with something ... or with someone ... cos this girl didnt do these .. and didnt wait for her bros help ... she thought i ll end it myself ... and how sad it was that she was the only sister of three brothers.........
Thats so sad. Maybe if someone had bothered to talk to him and see that he was depressed or whatever,t his couldve been prevented. :(
well in the incident i told .. no one knew of his problems and hes never made anyone realise as to what was wrong with him ... he was never depressd or sad at anytime and even on eid day ... he got ready to go to the mosque and pray .... but .. it was all too late before anyone cud save him or talk to him .....
i think its one of those things where ... ur helpless and wish you cud have done something and then you only realise that your too late.........
Yeah thats the thing with depression, it is fairly easy to hide and if you dont pay close attention, you'll never see the symptoms. Very sad indeed. Do pray for their maghfirat anyhow. It is up to Allah if He chooses to forgive for their sins.
Allah knows best as to what his mental condition was going into this! May Allah forgive this major sin, as well as all of his other sins, Amin, and bless with his family with Sabr.
It's sad to go through such an act that's sure to cancel one's good deeds and multiply his/her chances of being a dweller of hell. Reminds me of this one event when someone fighting alongside Prophet (PBUH) was to commit suicide and when Prophet revealed it to the sahaba by saying 'This person will go to hell', and they were shocked and responded by saying 'But Prophet, he has fought so well alongside with us...how is it possible', the Prophet (PBUH) repeated again 'I tell you, he will be a dweller of the fire'...and just moment later, the individual stabbed himself with his own sword.
May Allah guide us all rightly, and prevent us from such evils that lurk around leading us astray. For the whispers of devil reside alongside our conscience, and it's upto us to fight them out, do inner Jihad and be good from inside out.
And my post is relevant to the topic, in fact, the only thing it does address is the thread itself. If you didn't like the post than you should have just ignored it rather than criticizing it and making it a big issue that will instead derail the thread off-topic even more. genius.
