What is the Islamic stance on Suicide?
I am aware that suicide is considered haram, for the reasons that you are taking your life which is not in a person’s right to do so…however I want to know what exactly does Quran/hadees say about committing suicide.
PS–I don’t mean suicide bombing!

its considered haram as you are cheating your way out of this life, as allah has given you a chance to make your own way in life, i dont have the hadith verses on quotes but i think a suicidal person will go automatically to hell

Hadith About Suicide:
Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 445:
Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, “A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him.”
Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 73:
Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak: ”And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection.

jahan tak mujhe pata hai khudkushi karne walon ke liye jannat ke darwaze band ker diye jate hain.

The quran forbids taking of any life including one’s own life but with exceptions 4/29, 5/35, 17/31-33 etc
To save another life is an example.
