I can’t say I would trust the official version of events in any case. Not when we have leading newspapers condemning the trial of the British army members who were found guilty of using torture in Iraq. The Times was saying that the army should be responsible for trying it’s own soldiers, not an independent body. That’s like saying we should hand over London bombing suspects to Al Qaeda.

Yes, there is a direct parallel between AL qaeda and the British Army. I really wonder about where do the sympathy for terrorism comes from in the muslim world. what is it?
