After the suicide bombings on Shia processions in Lahore and Quetta, another barbaric act occured in Mardan. The bomber seems to have been prevented from entering the mosque, which likely minimized the number of casualties. I wonder if the bombers think they earn extra reward for killing themselves and others in the holy month of Ramadhan.
*PESHAWAR: A suicide attack on an Ahmedi worship place killed at least one person and wounded several others in northwest Pakistan on Friday, police said.
Re: Suicide attack on Ahmadi mosque in Mardan kills one
Getting to a stage of total rediculousness, all this happening in a country that was built on the notion of Islam and what it stands for in total destruction. All these people were doing were praying to God.
Re: Suicide attack on Ahmadi mosque in Mardan kills one
Its an argument in favour of stopping the processions. Had it been a procession the bomber could have entered anywhere at his will. In this case being in a closed space, the bomber was ambushed before he could enter and kill many more.
Re: Suicide attack on Ahmadi mosque in Mardan kills one
^^ True! But just banning the processions won't help...probably a temporary solution. We need to bring an end to this talibanism.
Thats what everybody (in favor of stopping procession) is suggesting while the country battles talibanism, once animals are rooted out then they can re-start the processions per their liking.

That's just one example. There have been many other occasions where the khariji Talibanic mentals did kill several people in places of worship. Besides there have been many attacks on police stations as well.
That shows the futility of banning processions to achieve security.
If there be any ban on anything it should be the madressah system which create the monsters in the first place.

And talibanism can not be stopped unless the organizations which nurtures this evil are routed out.
If this temporary solution is so workable then implement it on mosques and police stations as well.
Besides, govt of Punjab needs to stop supporting these evil organizations. Just stopping processions will achieve nothing. This "temporary" solution will become permanent.
So work on REAL ways to eliminate terrorism. Don't make innocent responsible for their own deaths.

Yes, thats true, any support to talibans thru any institution needs to be stopped.

Now back to usual ridiculousness, bravo.

Of course, ANY govt/institution needs to be forced/pushed to stop supporting these evils.
So work on REAL ways to eliminate terrorism. Don't make innocent responsible for their own deaths.
Nobody I believe is holding the dead ones as responsible for their own death.

Regardless of security, processions on open streets are wrong since there are other problems with these acts.
These acts are rooted deep in history and tradition and i find it hard that some hardline salafi crackhead can achieve his motives by blowing himself up. Armies were raised even early in Islamic history to 'protest' the innocent murders. Whats wrong with these ones?
With security issues in mind it is more important that they be stopped or similar activities be done in confined places.
Data Darbar was confined and so was the attack on Ahmedis mosque. These determined terrorists know how to get around. Shias get killed even in funeral processions. Look at the statistics. Search for the number of attacks on Shia mosques. I say ban the shias.
