Correction: Supreme Court demanded that all those students against whom there are no charges should be released. Do u want the supreme arbiter of law in the land to support illegal confinement?

i do believe we need some dioff laws to deal with terrorists and militants, our civil law code just does not factor in this type of scum.

they use the facilities of the very laws that they want to abolish.

Thanks for pointing that out but the article does have some relevance to today's events. Militancy is the greatest threat facing Pakistan today and we need to fight these lunatic 'students' and extremist mullahs who seem so bent on challeging our freedom and our way of life. This evil of extremism and militancy in the name of Islam must be nipped in the bud. Perhaps it's time to bring back public flogging

Don't know about public flogging, but the government needs a freer hand to deal with these extremists and terrorists. The Supreme Court needs to butt out, because due to it's carelessness so many extremists had to be released, and today they murdered so many people.

and I retract my earlier view that ghazi 1 &2 should ahve both been arrested and tried like common hoodlums. I am now of the view that they should have shot ghazi1 the moment he emerged from burqa.

I think the govt should have continued to ignore the Supreme Court, and then we would not have so many people being killed today. It's obvious now that the CJ and some biased judges do not know what they are doing.

Correction again, the bench hearing the Lal Masjid petition is headed by Justice Nawaz Abbasi. CJ has nothing to do with it.

seems like u r short on facts there and want to drag CJ into everything. :)
