There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this. Everyone’s idea of romance is different. I personally think it’s a bit cheesy and OTT. Also depends how well you know the person, and your comfort level with them.
Anyhow, have you seen drama serial Dil Diya Dehleez? There is this scene where Sara Choudhary gets married. Her husband comes into the room, says salam, then asks her some question. She replies, then he says this shair:
Sirf is shauq main pochi hain hazaaron baaten
Main tera husn tere husn-e-bayaan tak dekhon
It was sweet and subtle. :k:
