InshaAllah I am getting married very soon. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the wedding is going to be very very small. At my parents house, with very few guests invited. I live in the washington dc area. Any suggestions on what I should wear? My fiance doesn’t like the extremely colorful, two-colored outfits. He prefers the whites, beiges, light colors… Help please!!! Please post some ideas or direct me to some website where I can order from or something, anything! Thanks.
Aww so nice that you are really keeping your fiance's choice in mind but i think its your day too and you should not totally neglect what you want to wear because hopefully every1 marries on once so make the best out of that day :).
As for you having a small wedding ceremony, thats ok yar...you can and should make that small ceremony lots of fun. I have never odered clothes online but from what i have heard of people's experience with it, its not very good so i would advice you to first try and see if you can find an asian shop where you live from where you can get your dress.

Yeah that makes sense! Wedding can be a lot of fun! There are so many bridals these days in off-whites and peachy tones....check out the websites
I can imagine most of the high end designers will ship to U.S. Or you can check out the India/Pakistani market in Washington Area...Google it with your zip code and you will find something!
Hi Saadia … recently I cam upon this: エロ動画 だましリンク無しの無料アダルト動画サイト (the lady is located is MD, but I have no idea about the price range … her information is available on the website…good luck
saadia, light colors can look awesome. mine was beige, tan and champagne with dull gold, silver, and hits of olive green kaam. it turned out really well and looked beautiful in the end :)
what budget are you working with? whats your timeline? those are two things you need to sort out before you order anything from anywhere.
That one is very nice…it’s from Hina’s Boutique, right? I was planning to order it from them…Was your ordering/delivery experience with them satisfactory?
Somegroovychick - I am not trying to spend more than let's say 500-600 dollars on it, and I need it asap. I mean within like 2-3 weeks, maybe sooner. Oh and I forgot to say this, but I can't do lehnga/shararas. It has to be shalwar kameez. I am divorced (bad arranged marriage when I was 19) and I have a almost 10 year old daughter, MashaAllah. I'm 30 yrs old, thankfully don't look like it. We look like sisters more than mother daughter, I still don't feel comfortable wearing a lehnga.
Sparrow - I love that outfit! of course with sleeves. Did you order it from the hina b site? it turned out okay? do you by any chance have a pic of your actual outfit???
thank you again for all your help to all of you. OH and please please pray for us!
saadia your best bet would be to find a store or something in an area around you- not a lot of people will do an outfit from pakistan in 2-3 weeks... its almost impossible to get a custom made one anyway.
where are you located?
the lady that made my dress usually has nice jora's available for sale, that are already stitched and just need fitting... perhaps if you rang her, she could take some pics of her dressier outfits and you could choose one like that? she's in toronto so shipping it to you would cost according to where you are.
her name is abida and her number is 905 472 0000.
Divorced or not, you should celebrate this happy occasion, so wear what you want to wear and make it special. That being said, there are a few places in the DC where you can get bridal wear (heavy or not).
I really like this lady who sells stuff from Karachi – she’s in the Gaithersburg area. However her website does no justice to the nice clothes she often has. It may be worth calling her and meeting up with her. http://www.hinakhan.com

True!
I would say a weekend visit to NYC (Jackson Heights) will worth it. They have pretty good outfits and you will have more choices to pick from ... plus you can always bargain at most of the boutiques over there.
Getting to NYC is not that difficult either. It's a five hour drive or a four and a half hour bus ride from Union Station D.C. to Penn Station NYC... and unlike D.C. they have nice subway system in NYC to take you to the places.
Over there you can also get some nice imitation jewelery to match with your outfit... I think, Lavanya sells them at a reasonable price and there are a couple of others who have extremely nice stuff but at a comparatively high cost.
