I have three yards of this blue velvet embossed fabric. It is a heavier weight. Any suggestions/pictures on what style would be suitable?
Re: Suggestions for how to use this beautiful velvet fabric.
I would add silver laces and jamavar fabric to chaak and neck. Similar chaak style as the pic in the link, silver jamavar chooridar, pants or dhaka pajama, plain chiffon sleeves in blue with silver jamavar pipping.
Re: Suggestions for how to use this beautiful velvet fabric.
The cut of the dress in the link is so nice. I'm afraid that since the velvet is heavy (its hard to tell in the picture), making a wide kameez will make me look chunkier! i will play around with it to see how it would drape. I love the idea of the silver jamawar with it.

I'd just use it for the bodice and have either chiffon or chiffon jamawar attached to it.. you could also use it along with banarsi 'patti's'

banarsi pattis are so in these days and go with every outfit lovely

That is soooo beautiful. Contrast it with Orange. Long kamese of course and orange tang pajama. Indian U type collar. Chiffon 3 quater length blue sleeves with orange trimming at ends. Dubbatta the same, blue tie and dye chiffon dubatta with orange trimmings. Sounds like a dream, please put up a photo of final creation.
