how about introducing “away” “not at desk” type messages as its confusing when 1 is in digi’to know who is actually logged in and who is away.
second suggestion is enabling 
and 
smilies in chat as almost all guppies/guppans use these and typing assalamolaikum over and over again is tiring at timesalthough sawab is gained for saying it
