The forum “All Views” (which is just a new name for General, right?) has really just turned into a 2nd Cafe now. I hardly see any actual serious discussion going on there.
I think maybe it would be a good idea to switch “All Views” with “Cafe” so that Cafe is in GS Unplugged (mildly moderated so people can have relaxed conversation) and “All Views” be taken out of the GS Unplugged section so it goes back to being fully moderated. And if you do that can you please rename it back to “General”. :]
It's just the beginning, that's why you only see 3 people talking to each other there most of the times. Samad said he is working on some rules and other procedures in the background. I say give him some time and I am sure this forum will have more to offer. True right now it looks boring and even cafe looks better, but I strongly believe that with time it'll be much better as Samad promised. It's not fair if we don't give him a chance to work on things. Change always takes time and people are always resistant to change.
Moving cafe under unplugged will be a very bad decision. Cafe is better outside of unplugged. It just needs some old type enforcement of rules. Cafe will rise again, pal, it will rise again.

It's not necessarily a terrible forum; it's just like another Cafe.
I still don't think it's a good idea to try to put a forum for actual discussion under GS Unplugged. If it's not fully moderated with actual rules, people will do whatever they want and it will lead to a lot of disputes. Unplugged is good for forums that are more relaxed (like the Cafe).

As for my personal point of view (which may not be the official stand of the management) and how I understood it, you have to understand few things:
It is not really Cafe2. Problem is that it still has serious threads or some fun threads as well (if you want to follow the description of the forum which is still there); however, you will hardly find any discussion away from the TOPIC of the thread. The flooding is less than cafe and that too is very creative while being on topic. This is the Gupshup we strive for and this is what it has been for.
The threads you are refering to are mostly from Evilmastermind who had opened those threads during last two days. Threads were not moved to Cafe because of various reason. And even when couple of them were moved or merged (as you can see the hi & bye thread in Feedback) you can see on your own the standard of those threads. No one else has really done that.
There are few other similar threads were opened but since we refrained from moving EMM's thread out of All Views, and when I say WE I mean the decision was made at collective level, it was unfair for other threads to be moved. Once we have a clear go, there fate will be decided. In the mean time if those couple of people continue to do the same, rest assured appropriate action will be taken.
What you are refering to Cafe2 is actually an old image of General back in the days when Cafe was part of General. Yes :) General used to be like this. We are just re-connecting to the past in our transitional state. Be patient. A lot of work is in progress. The decition of doing all this was not taken in a second. It was thoroughly thought of as far as I know.
So, relax and enjoy your stay. Do not get frustrated. People are doing a LOT more than posting and it is for me, you and all other guppies. It's about Gupshup and not about any individual.

in cafe the main problem is that all the grown up are acting worse than kindergarten kidz. i hardly can tell about cafities that who is master of what?
whereas i know all gals exist over there are in the range of 18-25 (except for choci ci bachi)
