i normally search for my posts by clicking non search>advanced search and then entering my username. is it possible for u guys to put an extra box that searches for usernames when search is clicked? then i dont have to go to advanced search

Just click on your name or any other members name and a drop down menu will appear. You can check for your posts from there.
