Re: Suggestion/Request for moratorium on using politically affiliated terms
I am actually surprised at the wisdom of our political leaders. Nowhere in civilized world, leaders pick on the followers of the opponent party. Political campaign workers and politicians work through their sweat, tears and blood to convert one more opponent to their supporter. They can't even imagine to tick a common person off, just because the person belongs to another party. They know that to catch more flies, you need honey, bot harsh words.
But for some reason, our stupid politicians don't hesitate to make fun of the supporters of other parties, not thinking that those prople are also the awaam of the same country that you are claiming to be ready to give your life for.
But why a Pakistani so-called leader care for awam? He do not win elections because people voted him, or does he?
In Pakistan if you want to win cases, you bribe the judge (higher the position of judge, the better would be result). You can rent or occupy the house of your neighbour, then get it transferred to your name, no problem. If your neighbour would take you to court, and judge is Iftikhar Chaudhary whom you bribed, than He could also declare that your neighbour's wife is actually your maid.
If you want to pass exams, bribe teachers, exam invigilator ... or best is to bribe those who are authority distributing or preparing papers, but then you can bribe examiners who mark your papers, and you would top the list.
If you want to win election, no problem. You do not need votes or care for voters. Just bribe EC. If you want to keep things local then ROs would do, if not then polling agents can do the trick ... and at any stage you can win election, even if you got your own single vote in election, as 1 vote could easily get registered as 100000 (mind you, typing error), and your opponent's votes can easily get counted as 10000 when it was 100000 (again typing error).
Well, same system is existing all over Pakistan, in most places. So, who and why should one care for voters and their votes?
