suggestion/help further education in khi

i’m a lil bit confused in taking a decision regarding my further education.
need some suggestions with facts n figures and previous experiences if any

the course i’ve to decide for is MS, preferred field of specialization is Networking and/or Distributed Computing. i’ve completed my BS in Comp. Science

NED, KU, NU, SSUET, SZABIST and PAF-KIET are the institutes available here in khi who offer MS in Computer Science, Hamdar is also one of them, but out of my reach.

NED has stopped its MS program in Comp Science faculty for God knows what reasons, KU don’t offer admission to Petroman graduates, that i am :S, NU is none of my business they don’t offer specialization in network/ distributed computing or telecom

now i’m left with SSUET, SZABIST and PAF-KIET, as far as i know, SZABIST’s MS in Comp. Science faculty is not that good as their MBA, i’ve friend studding in MS Comp Science and one in MBA there in ZABIST and that’s what they told me

now the only choices which i know, are SSUET and PAF-KIET. the question is, which one is good school? who have more facilities to offer for research and practical purposes. as in MS, thesis is a major part of the degree. SSUET’s networking department in comp. science faculty is very good as far as i know, but some of SSUET graduates are discouraging to go there. PAF-KIET is new in offering MS, but a good reputation for their undergraduate programs. u guys out there, if have any experience of these 2 institutes or have any sibling/ friend/ relative studying there plz do let me know about the pros and cons of joining each of them. and if there are any other choices here in khi to do MS with specialization in networking/ distributed computing, i’ll more than happy to know.

one thing forgot to mention,
the institute should offer evening classes, as i work fulltime

Salams, sorry that this is not a direct answer to your question but if your family and personal circumstances allow, why don't you try to apply to Germany for masters? I know of several people from Pakistan who applied to German institutions for masters and are doing quite well there. In fact, it is not that difficult to get it, and all expenses are paid. You will even get a stipend from which, if you try, you might be able to also save money and that will compensate for your plan of working full time in Pakistan.

I think it might be an option you could seriously consider. Good luck in whatever you plan and decide to do.

^ thnx for reply

wesay i'm also considering foreign universities, specially those of uk and australia, have no idea about german ones, the main reason i think will be language, one of my school fellow also went to germany for his masters but he knows german language
wesay can u please give me some more info if u've ?

You might have to take German courses in Karachi. You should go online and get in touch with the officials in the German colleges and ask them what the requirements are. The people I know who went there did take German courses but I am not sure if it was a requirement.

Here is a website for German universities.
