Sore losers that we are, may I suggest we merge all threads trying to talk about the remaining (useless, meaningless and totally uninteresting) games of the World Cup into one thread. Those puritans who want to talk about the “game” of cricket and oh-how-we-like-this-game-even-if-my-country-is-kicked-out can yap all they want in that one thread.
That will free up Cricketnama forum so we can then have unobstructed zillion threads talking about Bob Woolmer and his death, and trash/buck-up Indian and Pakistani teams as well as put our selection committee hats on and rattle off suggested teams for the future. In addition, some of us can play the role of President of Pakistan and give ideas as to who should be the new Chairman of PCB and who should lead the selection committee and lets not forget how involved some of us are in appointing the new coach(es) for our team. Everyone should have an easier time talking about all things right (and wrong) about Pakistan (and may be Indian) cricket, and we have a right not to be distracted by (lame) threads popping up now talking about Super-8 WC games as well as those that will pop up for semi- and finals..
Lets admit, its so much more fun talking about “our” team, rather than talking about everyone but.
On a related note, I was given such good quality free kaa link by Samad & The Game. I was really looking forward to watching the Super 8s on it. Too bad I will have no use for the link now. Feel pity for people who dished out 200$ for dish.
Yeah I was promised the same free ka link and was in the list of 50 but somehow never got it. Our beloved Samad sb. decided not to reply to my couple of PMs either before I ended up paying for those disasterous games :(
we had a thread started for links before the worldcup. I was too busy with some side projects and my job so could not handle it all, so game was helping and picking the people for the stream.
So i am really sorry to those who did not get a link. You have to understand that I cannot sit here and reply to every 2nd PM i get. I want to give it to as many people as possible. But its not that easy when u get 30 pms on a single day and they are all asking for links, and half of the people do not even post in kk. So deemagh to phiR jata hai na.

Regarding Faisal bhai's suggetion I would say cricketnama is just doing fine as it is. I am not sure if he really meant it or it was a tanzia type of post heh.
Emotions have been played with. People are experiencing anger, confusion, betrayal, sadness, shock and a whole array of other unexpected emotions. To vent these feelings one can step outside and stone cricketers houses and burn effigies. At the same time people can also open a thread in cricketnama and vent through their words. I'd prefer the latter. The balance of pakistani related vs rest of the world cup related threads is just fine.
Let me give a status of threads in Cricketnama right now. Its actually interesting. I looked at only the first page of Cricketnama right now (total 47 threads)
There are
22 threads on Pakistan team and their crappy performance
14 threads on Indian team and their crappy performance
3 threads on Woolmer (including the giant sticky thread on top)
3 threads are not related to World Cup at all.
5 threads on WC matches not involving Pakistan or India.
Quite possibly these trends may change a bit once Super-8's start, but my guess is most Pakistanis (and Indians) are now fairly detached from the World Cup after elimination of our teams. As such to keep putting inane matches as Sticky threads just for the heck of it will be a waste of our scrolling fingers (we'd have to scroll down to find masala threads venting out on Pak/Ind teams). While my first post was more tongue in cheek, this time I am really serious. Waqai!
This is Cricketnama, not World Cup Nama. You are ofcourse most welcome though to open any thread related to a cricket topic that you feel is not given enough attention to.
