hey guys
why dont u merge all interview threads n prune out extra replies? i think thats gona be hecka useful
just a sugegestion, hope thats ok? sorry if i sound like a dadi amma
thanx
p.s. u’re welcome to trash this thread if u want after u read it
Maybe it would be possible, and useful, to have a sticky thread on top - one that specifically discusses tips and tricks during interviews. We will look into it, Insha’Allah.
Thank you for the suggestion Irem
interviews regarding specific jobs for people with specific backgrounds do not need to be merged in my view.
There is a hige diff between someone who is changing careers in mid career and has some questions about interview, someone with no experience getting interview hints, or someone who is an expert in her field..
does it really make sense to merge interview tips being given to someone with zero experience interviewing for a technology job in middle east with interview tips given to a person who is moving from industry to consulting..
trash the thread after reading it? it should have been trashed before posting
^^ I second that ... I believe most threads here that ask questions about interviews are "different" - they address specific scenarios in interviews.
However, based on Irem's suggestion, may be we can have a generic "Interview Tips" sticky thread that would serve as a starting point... the thread would be generic enough to apply to all interviews... after a member peruses that thread and if there still are questions left unanswered, then they can ask their specific questions in a new thread. Howz Dat?

Umar Talib,
I was thinking more along the lines of a generic interview sticky thread - obviously, different tips will apply in different situations and anyone who is reading the sticky for advice, should glean only those specific tips that may apply to their unique situations. Otherwise, they are more than free to read the information and discard it if it is not applicable to their unique situation.
At any rate ---> whatever works and you feel most comfortable with, is perfect for me.
Samarra - cool idea, and most welcome :)
Mr F - hmmm...khayr te hae na janab? u seem to be in a bad mood these days...hope all's well

These days? I have always been allergic to ideas which are either not well thought out or do not elaborate the idea well enough :)
