Does anyone have any suggestions of books I can give to a non muslim who may be interested in Islam?
Obviously I dont want it to be too deep as the intricacies can be explained later.
What do you suggest?

The Life of Muhammad by Martin Lings
Re: Suggestion for books to give to a non muslim!
I would normally agree..but i think this book probably has too much detail for someone just starting out in knowledging themselves about the deen.
Re: Suggestion for books to give to a non muslim!
thank you though Sidi, I will pass on this link too. I have reconsidered my opinion and maybe this book is probably one of the best things a non muslim could read!

The road to Makkah http://www.islamicbulletin.org/free_downloads/new_muslim/road_to_makkah.pdf

Re: Suggestion for books to give to a non muslim!
Stonecold, I have the opportunity to talk to a lot of non muslims very often as I run an Islamic School, and many non muslims come in to learn about us, "watch us" and we also have quite a few converts coming in with a lot of questions.
My personal recommendation is to spend one on one time with them and educate them. Things you don't want to say:
- Islam is THE BEST religion (they are not ready to hear that and seriously, that is such a narcissistic statement when delivered to a non- muslim)
- Whatever religion they come from sucks (trust me, I have seen that happen all the time)
- That if they convert, their non-muslim family will be kaafir (total put-off, but again, very common)
Ask them what attracted them or what they find interesting. Talk about God's mercy and the message of peace.
We do have a few "daawah" books. Will post back later with exact titles/authors.
Re: Suggestion for books to give to a non muslim!
Philosophy of the teachings of Islam by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (A.S).

With respect, but obviously I am not going to recommend something that I do not believe in myself! But thanks for the suggestion!
