Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

Hi gals,

So please help me out with a great sun block suggestion. I live in the US and am willing to buy an expensive sunblock/ sunscreen if it works great. I don’t want it to be really heavy/ oily and most importantly I want it to work.

I have savli skin and I get dark VERY EASILY. I have a few weddings coming up, so I don’t want to lose my normal/ natural color.

Thanks

Clarins..Lancaster?

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

I heard a lot of good things about Shiseido brand's sunblock...it's pricey though. Neutrogena has a good one as well.

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

Does anyone use Aveeno's SPF 70 sunblock lotion? I just bought it, and not too sure now. I guess I'll give it a try.

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

do u buy it for body or face caz .....if its for face just make suree it doesnt make ur face all greasy ......and i have used some organic brand sunblock and that one soo oily for my face even i have dry skin ..so now after research and every thing i have end on dermalogica one ...idont swim so i will go for that one ...and i have sample of it too its soo light thatt i couldnt feeel i have sunblock on ....

it's horrible in terms of making your face feel greasy and leaving that ghostly look.

Thanks a bunch outkaast!!!

So it seems like sephora only carries the face cream...should I bother buying something else for the body or this should be good/ strong enough to be applied all over the body? It seems like the the cream is only 2 oz...

You girls are a great help btw :)

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

i use dermalogica sunblock, or since im doig the peels im using mesoesthetic sunblock, which is a complete sunblock....its great.....highly recommended.

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

oh btw i am referring to Shiseido sunscreen above....

also has anyone tried the MD skincare sunscreen? I was looking into that before i found out about Siseido with SPF 55...they have one with SPF 45...

Google MD Skincare Sunscreen if you are curious
(can't post the link since I haven't made enough posts on this website)

What is the SPF on this one nadz? Also what peels are you doing? I always wanted to try em for my legs to get rid of some razor burn marks but they are not too obvious and i just never bothered to look into it much...it would me nice to know though

Re: Suggest the BEST sunblock for a beach day

I use the ombrelle SPF 45. It has Titanium dioxide which is a physical blocker. It's not very greasy, not chalky... just perfect. It's been very effective.
