hey guppies.. im getting married this sept and need help..
what color lences would go with a maroon outfit…? how would seagreen look?
i m gna wear misty grey lences with light orange that’s my walima outfit’s color.
as these days eye makeup is considered uncomplete until one wears those..

Why don't you stick to your normal eye colour??
In my opinion you would look silly trying to match your eye colour to your outfit.

if you're going to wear colored lense the only color i'd go for is hazel, b/c it will look natural but just brighten and enhance your make up

Agree.. I think big brown eyes look lovely but if u want to try something different the colour should go with ur features, skin tone etc, not ur outfit..

^ I agree. I think coloured lenses are so overrated! Can't beat your natural eye colour, whatever it may be.

**Natural all the way but if you still want lenses then choose a slightly lighter color than the natural color of your eyes.
Or maybe wear lenses on your mehndi n natural on your wedding day :)

I am not fond of coloured lenses, esp not on ur or a wedding, why dont in one of ur trials have a look with and without and see what u prefer?

who says eye make-up considered incomplete without colored lenses?!! go through the bridal pictures treat and you will hardly find any brides wearing colored lenses..
i think it was in 2000-2001 but it's really not anymore.. also if you really want to wear lenses go with something like hazel or like a lighter version of brown that usually looks good on us desis.. you have to be really careful when you’re picking colored lenses, they can make you look pendo too..
the safest thing is to just go with your natural color.. :) but do whatever makes you happy, it’s your big day after all:)

please stay away frm color lenses. there was a period abt 5-8 years ago when they were really in...but not anymore.
I agree with the girls who suggested to stay with ur natural color.

for weddings i feel natural eyes r the best..but if u still prefer lenses... stick to sthg slightly lighter thn ur original color :)

You’re not supposed to match your contact lenses with your clothes!
I know that the bride's beauty is enhanced in so many ways (layers of makeup...jewelry...etc). But the eyes are the windows to your soul...and I'd want to see my natural eyes in the photographs....and look at my husband/family/friends...with my natural eye color. Just seems more real that way. I think even the best of lens can sort of look artificial in the pictures. That's just me. To each his own. Do a trial test as suggested above. Maybe take photos during the trials....so you have an idea of not only how the lens look in person...but in photographs as well.

A story i just remembered seeing the thread…a male cousin of mine got married…his bro and wife escorted the newly wed couple to the hotel room…they were just heading back to their home when they got a call from their bro that his wife is wearing lenses and not been able to remove them
They turned back and his bhabi helped the bride with lenses…the bride told the bhabi that it is the first time ever that she is wearing lenses…gosh…i dont understand why people take such risks on the most important day of their life

My MUA tried her level best to convince me to wear hazel or grey lenses on my walima (although my original eye color is light brown) but my answer was a big :no:

I was flipping thru my friends wedding album from a couple years ago and she was wearing these dark sea green or blue contacts and she was right next to me and commented on how she wishes she didnt have those contacts on because when she got her wedding album she felt that none of her real emotions came thru in the pics, and I totally agree, like the other poster said, ur eyes will reflect ur true emotions....so, think about it, go try on a few colors and see how u feel about it. Natural is the way to go! You don't want to look back on your wedding photos 30-40 years down the line and think "Why the heck did I do that!" And your kids, kids' kids will see the pictures too!
