this is my first post here! I read a lot here…and wanna share my problems…
lately i have been hating my skin…most of the times!..
let me tell you my routine…actually i dont have any…
i just do cleansing with Aveeno positively radiant 1 time a day and i use St ives scrub a lot!..sometimes daily (1 time in a day) i try to skip 1-2 days before I use it…hmmm what else…m not using any desi totkas…i dont feel lyke doing anything…oh yeaa i mositurize my hands and feets but not my face…! on regular basis…i have never used any sun screen products on my face…i hardly put any makeup on my skin…lyke sometimes i wud just use face powder and thats alll…and foundation only on any ocassion…
so yea thats abt it…and yes I m in my mid twenties…
oh yea my skin type is combination…
what would you suggest me it would be great if you suggest me a daily beauty plan…
what else shud i tell you…i try to drink as plenty of water as i can…
and try to avoid having spicy oily food but i do eat
oh my skin condition…my skin is oily at times…and i have blackheads too on my cheeks…nose…and also on my chin…i think i need a facial…last time i had my facial was last yr in oct i guess…Wow…I stress a lot and i dont feel lyke taking care oof myself…so here is ur chance MUJHE BURA BHELA KEHO SHEREM DILAOO:)

3 main things to healthy skin are ... good skin care routine, healthy diet n regular exercise
for skin care get these
* a gentle cleanser (with no alcohol)
* an exfoliant with either salicylic acid or glycolic acid.
i like former. its good for acne prone skin, keeps blackheads aways n pores tight.( look for 1-2% salicylic acid with a Ph less than 4). Use once a day
* Vit C serum ( look for L-ascorbic acid on label) Use twice a day.
Ditch St.ives scrub. they r harsh. if u still need to scrub don't do more than twice a week.
*Sun screen with anti-oxidants...a MUST.
* u can add a skin bleaching or lighteing serum too. look for something with kojic acid, arbutin or bearberry extracts. they don't whiten u but giv u a glow.
with all these diet n exrcise. plenty of fibre, veges, fruit etc. get blood work done for iron etc. take supplements like vit C, omegas 3,6,9, multi vitamins. be consistent n u'll b there.

Vitamin C serum sounds v good...though i read somewhere that it is very unstable and if its turns yellow or orange it does no good to ur skin infact can damage it...so this scares!...
please tell which one shud i buy...?
I also want to use skin bleach...but which one...i only know about jolenn...all my frnds use it..
I have always tried different products i never stick to one...
for cleansing...Viche,aveeno,neautorgena, clean n clear,..philosphy...body shop....lush...dove...i have tried everytinng but still dont know which one suits me the best...i find them okay...:S....
Its really hard to choose it would be great if you give me some product names.! for cleansing, exfoliating...moisturizing...sun screen... everything:D

Start-off with a very mild bleach. Andrea and Boots have very mild ones for the face.
Your daily routine should be: cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Stick to the products you like and that didn't cause any breakouts. For oily/acne prone skin cleansers with witch hazel and tea-tree oil are great so is salicylic acid.
Scrub your face no more than 2-3 times a week unless it's a very fine exfoliant (one with micro-beads) which can be used daily.

Vit C is a good anti-oxidant plus skin lightener and evens out skin tone.
i hav tried Avalon's Organic's vitality facial serum with vit C ( it has magnesium ascorbal phosphate...a stable form of C). it comes in a glass bottle that keeps it safe from getting oxidised. i liked it. expensive though but has lots of good stuff other than C. i loved it but i just moved on.
Now i'm using Neostrata's Vit C capsules. they carry 10% L-ascorbic acid. u can use one or two capsules a day. it has 30 capsules. very nice so far. i'm loving it but too expensive.
Neostrata is having a sale " shoppers these days so u can take advantage of the deal.
My next choice is UNT skin care's C Clarity. it has 20% L-ascorbic and is best value for price. again in a stable packaging.
So u can choose either depending on ur needs n pocket.
\For blackheads, large pores etc try Neutrogena's oil free Acne Stress Control 3in 1 Hydrating acne treatment. it has 2% salicylic acid. very nice. no alcohol no irritating stuff. it is gr8 exfoliant for daily use for acne prone skin.
for skin brightening i hav tried Fade out in past with gr8 results with it and then Makeupartistschoice.com's skin bleaching gel with L-arbutin n glycolic acid. its good though but for much drastic effects try Neostrata's hydroquinone 4% gel with glycolic acid.
u can use lightening serum after vit C but b4 sunscreen
for sunscreen even though there are lots of good ones. Neutrogena's ultra sheer is affordable and has anti-oxidants. Vichy n La roche posy has no anti-oxidants but gr8 sun protection. so u can use vit C b4 applying it.

one thing i dunt understand is that i rarely get any pimples on my face...and i never really had any acne...the only prob with my skin is pores...and blackheads....! so m confused whether the product fr acne prone skin is suitable fr me!
