^ I am pretty sure you are being facetious, in trying to interpret a spiritual statement and applying it literally.
While I don’t agree to all facets of sufism, I can understand why it will attract to a lot of people.
And love of Allah should be the cornerstone of our imaan. Why some people will insist on making our Creator into some angry God who is only interested in putting people in hell-fire, is beyond me. And the powers of Allah are infinite, which, by definition, means He can be anywhere and everywhere He wants to be. Therefore, to insist that tawheed requires us to believe He be restricted to a place up in heavens (astaghfirrullah) makes no sense. That is like challenging His powers. Bottom line: not a good idea.
GAMMA… Its Wahdatul-Wajood you are refering to. Lots of SUFI ppl were of that Idea. The Biggest Example is… MANSOOR HALLAJ…
There is a Book… DEWANE SHAMS BY RUMI… Its in Persian along with Explanation in ENGLISH… Although the Explanation is not that good.. BUT.. still its Worth Reading… If U could Find that Book… You will Read… SHAH SHAMS TABREZ Poetrey as well.
"Those who have come to know Allah, through His own self-disclosure to them, they did not come to know Him via their minds, have known him with the light which Allah imparted to their hearts and minds" (IbneArabi)
Gamma do post more. I enjoy it too.
Yep many muslims think of sufis as almost kafirs. So wrong. I think if one takes away the "heart" part if Islam , it can become very mechanical. How can you love someone without involving "heart".
haha i couldn’t care less which form of islam is “correct”, and i made no such reference in my post.
i simply said that Sufis are the most respected amongst the Muslims. they have monopolized the title of “muslim intellectual” (then again, that isn’t exactly the most difficult thing to do).

why is that?
A slight correction ....
"Saints" are most respected people among muslims.
Now there is a difference between a 'sufi' and a 'saint'.
A saint is learned muslim who attract people towards islam because of his pristine presentation of Islamic ethics and values.
A sufi is a person who believes that love is the most important virtue and gift of God to human. He loves his fellow creature and his God and preaches love and compassion.
A saint can also be a sufi too but all sufis are not saints (Islamically ). Some sufi's were great poets but they had little of no interest in Islamic teachings
A Muslim is someone who attracts people to his pristine presentation of Islam…
However the difference between a Sufi and a Muslim is that, a Sufi upon seeing a rape, will try think a beautiful verse to compose to describe the beauty of this moment…
