Why is it so that personal lives of great leaders were not happy. We have examples of Mr Jinah and Mahatma Gandhi, who are role model for many, but they didn’t live a happy family life.

Winston Churchill appeared to have had a pretty happy family life. Married to the same woman for 57 years, 5 kids, lots of money, etc.

Leaders are human too with human foibles. So the sufferings of some of the leaders can happen to any Tom, Dick or Harry. Only their position in society puts their personal lives in greater scrutiny.

Agree to the scrutiny part. People (family) related to leaders may think on lines that the person is concerned for all except the family. That feeling hit Mrs Ratti Jinah as well as Gandhi's son.
