Re: Sudden hunger pangs
When you're active, you burn more calories....so your body needs to refuel it's energy. That could be why you feel hungry.
For example, you're more likely to feel hungry after a long walk in a theme park, or after working out. Running errands takes energy.
Try taking a multivitamin to make up for nutritional deficiencies. And try this tip: When you feel a hunger pang, brush your teeth. It is said that brushing your teach suppresses hunger. This is harder to do when you're outside running errands...but try it at home.
And eat foods that contain fiber or protein because they keep your stomach full for a longer period of time so you don't experience hunger pangs. Examples: apples, sweet potatoes, yogurt, daal, dairy products, chicken, dates, etc.
Re: Sudden hunger pangs
RV i'm always very active n mostly do all outside errands but this never happened to me b4.i mean being hungry is ok but getting hungry to the point that u can't take it anymore within few mins after the desire to eat is wats worrying me
Re: Sudden hunger pangs
Doctors are now saying that we often confuse the signal for thirst with hunger. Our brain is telling us to drink more water...but instead we pick something to eat.
And by the time you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated. So, when you get that pang, try drinking water.
Also, foods like candy bars and cookies (junk food) will give you quick 5 minute energy and then it bring you down so low again and you'll be hungry again. That's why you should try eating high-energy foods that will keep you feeling full for longer (fruits and protein).
Re: Sudden hunger pangs
I would have said check to see if you have low blood pressure but you say you have already done blood check up.
I agree with red velvet on the types of food to eat like sweet potatoes daal etc..basically foods that will give you energy over a longer period rather than instant energy foods like chocolates which may leave you feeling weaker and dizzy once you get over the "high"
