Musharraf has freed the press. Why doesn’t he free the people?
Re: Such beautiful freedom....
"....Police in Pakistan have detained key opposition figures who had vowed to begin protests to disrupt President Pervez Musharraf's bid for re-election."
Law allow govt to take all actions (including arrest) against people willing and vowing to disrupt any government business (including elections).
Why don't our "beloved political leaders" wait for Court's decision so that they can have legal and moral upper hand to do such things? They went to the court themselves and now sensing (correctly or in correctly) that court will not rule in their favor they are willing to use force to disrupt the govt business.......shame on such leaders who only accept court's decision which are in their favor.
Re: Such beautiful freedom…
Bhaijna, that’s because Pakistanis have never seen freer judiciary and they are confused of what to make of it. ![]()

"I am wanted by the Musharraf regime along with other opposition leaders for whom they have issued a 30-day detention order which goes well beyond General Musharraf's illegal, unconstitutional presidential elections," he said.

The man had no moral standing to begin with..at least let the opposition do their work..let them oppose him..thats the minimum one would expect. Horrible.
