Munni,
u raised a good point. There is no denying the fact that every parent would somehow leave undeleteable marks on his/her children in their upbringing. But all attempts should be made to leave as much space as possible for children to manouver, and think on their own. There is a big difference in teachings children how to behave with others, and asking children to do something without any rationale.
But for god sake, what a 6-10 years old girl child has to cover her body and head for? How would u justify this to a child? Is she living in a society full of paedophile? What r we trying to imply here?

u quote Faiz as ur signature with every post, have u ever read him? what u know about him?
If this is ur thinking u better start quoating Mohammd Iqbal, and leave Faiz out of ur posts. u will be doing a great favor to Faiz.
these pics are wonderful; i wish there were posted on this board. whoever said that the muslim children wearing religion head coverings are being raised as closed-minded is probably just jealous. what would she/he say if that comment was made against Christian or Jewish children. Then, God forbid, all hell would be raised, wouldn't it?! Therefore, she/he should absolutely not have said it...it's a very unfair, biased, and narrow-minded, small-minded statement!!!
akif+freemind.. ahmadjee has done a real nice attempt. opened up this topic in society/culture forum. (link found on first page). can we have the discussion over there please? as that discussion is slightly getting off the picture-related material.
larna, jhagarna, jhagar ke larna, aur larr ke jhagarna,
b.p high rakhnay ka ye hay aik bahaana.. eiinnnhheeiiinn
the reason young children are encouraged to wear the headscarf is that so they get used to it ** so that when they reach puberty and it DOES become farz on them then they will find it easy and natural to do and therefore wont be commiting a sin **
I want to post a pic in this thread. A pic from Iran. And they are asking, “We’re sorry, but you may only upload image files (with an extension of .gif or .jpg)”.
