Re: Successful Launch: 1st Facilitation Center
Should also include RENEWAL of CNIC, passport and driving license. That would be real convenience.

I will second that. I was in Pak last summer and needed passport renewal. I didnt notice that my ID card has expired and thought that for a renewal that dont need an ID card. Could not understand though why they need an ID card for renewal as ofcourse one had the ID card when got it first time.
So the express ID card took like 6,7 working days any by then my holidays were over.
Secondly, all these things are wonderful but then you need to teach the staff that you are here to facilitate people and not to make their life more difficult as this is what happens mostly. When I was there to submit my application, there was no que still the person on table started doing other stuff, like arranging applications, stapling them, putting comments on them, and I was standing in front of him and asked 1,2 times very nicely that I have filled my form, please review it and submit.
Eventually, I gave up and sat on the chair. After 20-25 mins, he called me.
Re: Successful Launch: 1st Facilitation Center
Oh my bad... I thought the original post was about ONLINE issuance of those docs by the government. Just read that is not the case. It's only about issuance in one place.
I have two similar experiences from few years ago. First one was to do with my driving license and the second one, renewal of my passport at the time when my CNIC was also expired and I didnt know. And as you said, they needed an updated CNIC to renew the passport. It's okay if they do but should make the process simpler. Especially when you go for the renewal of ANY government doc, it's not simple. The rooms inside the buildings are dirty and congested, out dated ancient system, if you see queues, you're lucky. Usually, no queues. If you have a reference then it's easier. If not then they ask for money to do it faster. There are alot more hassles and headache. ONLINE renewal would be great convenience.
My driver's license pending for renewal again so was so glad to see this post but then this service does not deal with renewal only issuance.
