I think it’s that assumption that stay-at-home wife/mom or woman with a job and not a career = bholi bhali and naive, and as soon as a woman wants to excel in her career and do well, she’s all things terrible that rubs me the wrong way.

It’s a stereotype, plain and simple. Each individual is different and the career versus homemaker decision shouldn’t influence how a woman’s character is presumed to be.

I dont’ buy into the stereotype, and i think it’s definitely unfair that while there may be the small handful who are like that, I know dozens and dozens of women who aren’t like that at all. unfortunately, the negative stereotypes are always the loudest aren’t they?
