Subway or train rides and pakistani/muslim talk

ok. i must say it now.

when Pakistani boys and girls especially go on a rant about key words associated with us, and literally talk gossip and secrets in the crammed up subway/ train nj transit, long island rail road etc., and that too in English… it hurts me to see how people around so hear at times, rather very private talk, as it is being carried on in English. girls and guys talk about their affairs… like a normal flirting person… but there are places and settings in which such talk seems appropriate, but these riders… i think they want that negative attention, by so senselessly disclosing all things about them.. in a language that everyone around them can understand.
some non Muslim men and women, even grin at the key words, like Islam, Pakistan, immigration.

yara, na kahoo yeye sub in public, tow kitna acha ho!!!

what should we do.

at times, i almost feel like walking up to the pair of girls or guys and saying it to them in urdu, that please be soft in speaking and not say so many words about Islam and Muslims and general talk on their life styles… others might grin and or even laugh at the dichotomies of what they know to be as “Muslim” or Islamic, and or un-Islamic and non-Muslim like.

the balanced talk is okay, where we neither wash the dirty laundry in public nor puppet our selves in past glories and shabby wastey like " leave Muslim people and countries alone, as they are destitute abad sey…"

it is so disheartening.

i wish there was a way to say that folks, please watch what u murmur in public.

chime in with ur opinions and or comments, so that my perspective can be broadened if i am wrong.

thanks,

Re: Subway or train rides and pakistani/muslim talk

hmm. pretty sad situation!

some ppl might say..that if we're doing wrong by talking trash..others are doing wrong by eavesdropping ... they're the ppl who'll always carry on with the conversations, even if you DO tell them to stop.

anyhow. what i think of it - if you see some1 bashing islam in your presence...start your own conversation somewhere else, of how beautiful the religion is. its the other person's loss, you'll be showered with the blessings of angels who'll watch your zikr, and mention it to allah swt.
