Subway Help

How do you get from Penn Station to Jackson Heights? I mean which train do you take and after how many stops do you get off? And then while coming back, which train to take and again, how many stops? Thanks for the help

Re: Subway Help

I am sure Sara516 can be of great help to you. I do know across the st from Penn Station is the 34th Street Station. If anything you can ask the guy at the token booth for which subway to take to Jackson Heights, Queens.

Re: Subway Help

:rotfl:
i thought the SUBWAY, eat fresh

Re: Subway Help

E towards Queens ... get off at Rosevelt Ave. Station.

or get a transfer from E in between to 7 and take 7 towards main st. flushing, get off at 74th st. Broadway station.

Following trains go to Jackson Heights:

7, E, V, F, R

Re: Subway Help

Thanks everyone!
My cousin just messaged me the directions :)

..

AQ, my cousin asked me to take F uptown, she told me exactly how many stops, and all. I have to say Subway stuff is confusing.

Re: Subway Help

i guess any person with normal IQ and sense of bit of direction should be able to travel in any metro/underground/subway systems in the world if they have the map in a understandable language.

Re: Subway Help

^yep, didn't know how easy it was once got to new york.

I agree to the confusing part .. I always lived in the towns where there are no subways .. and last time I was in Philly and then in Bay Area, it was bit confusing to use the subway/light rail system ..

I gues you have to give yourself plenty of time if you are using it for the first time in any city,

Re: Subway Help

Yeah if you have never used public transport, nyc subway can be confusing as hell first time.

Oh and one thing I don't like about nyc subway is at times, they change routes without any notice especially on weekends...

lol same here, mainly because thats what I had at lunch today

not really true ... you will find flyers/postes all over subway a week before and alternate ways to go about it... never had routing issues...

NY subway is really very methodical and once you get the logic, you are on a roll, trust me!:)

you were on the lightrail..awesome!

No she's right, while they do put signs up beforeand, sometmes somthing will happen on extremely short notice..i've exerienced it many times coming home on a weekday, if im sitting on the express, it iwll go local or vice versa.. but as far as lines getting switched around or rerouted that rarely ever happens on short notice

Re: Subway Help

AQ, what I said was what I experienced on my various trips to nyc. Besides, if you are living in the city and using the system on everyday basis, you will find it easy compared to those who might use it once in a bluemoon or or for the first time.

Re: Subway Help

There are police dotted all around downtown NY who also act as tourist/subway guides and photographers/posers.
