Subhani Bayounus

This legend of an actor, who looked the same throughout the last 25 yrs of his acting career, passed away in his sleep on 31 May.

He was a part of almost all mega hits on TV (PTV), but was out of the scene ever since the satellite channels killed the Pakistani Drama for the Indian style saabun.

May he be blessed. Another valuable icon lost.

Re: Subhani Bayounus

Gawd. I can never forget for the brilliant stuff he did as Zara and Sanyaa's dad in Tanhaiyaan. We've lost a great actor indeed. May God rest his soul in peace.

Re: Subhani Bayounus

:frowning: I remember from him my much younger years.

Inna Lilahi wa Inna Elaihi RajiooN. May his soul rest in peace.

Inna Lillah e Wa ina Alaiehir Rajeion
Yet another pillar of PTV gone …
My earliest memory of SBU is from the black & White Serial SHEHZORI where he played Shakeel’s elder brother and then played that historic role in Taleem e Balighan

May Allah forgive his sins and grant him a place in Jannah - Ameen :flower1:

Re: Subhani Bayounus

Aameeen :(

Re: Subhani Bayounus

I remember him as Taimur Malik along side another legend who passed away before his time Nasir Ali, in Akhri Pathan...

I can still picture Sher-e-Khawarzim Jalaluddin (Nasir Ali) barking at his most able sipah salar Taimur Ali (Subhani Bayounus) "Taimur Malik kooch ki tayaari ki jaaey"

Re: Subhani Bayounus

Che,
you mean 'aakhri chataan'?
Ive heard of this drama, havent watched it. What was it abt and is it worth watching?

Re: Subhani Bayounus

He was one of the most decent voice and act on the small screen. Innalillahe wainnailehe rajioon.

He was good in dramas, but was best in historical epics PTV made in 70s/80s. His voice and facial expressions kinda suite those historic characters.

Re: Subhani Bayounus

It all depends on what goes up your alley...if you are moderately enlightened, then don't watch it...

Re: Subhani Bayounus

O boy .. I somehow never knew that. He passed away such a long time ago :(

Who can forget the legendary, one and only Mirza Ghalib of PTV .. and his role in Taleem-e-Balighan was just amzaing
