How many times have all of us heard ke Pakistan me sub chalta hai. I wonder what it would take to chuck out this caustic mindset of ours… even those of us who’ve lived in the West, why do we go back only to associate with the same corrupt ethos?
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
I'll take this silence as a mortified "yes" it is in our blood.
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?

Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
I agree with Talib Bhaijan, It’s very true. There’s Dhaka Shahi in Pakistan. Try getting on a Bus or a Wagon in Lahore. You might be the first one standing on the stop, but you will be lucky to get on the Bus in one piece. Once my legs arrived home 2 hours after my torso. Every little thing has a mind of its own in Pakistan. The whole country is Chalo. I don’t wana discuss how we can fix this problem, because doing so will be diverging from the topic.

Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
Madhanee... you must have put your legs top of the bus thats why they were late, aren't you grateful that your legs returned to you?
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
Its simple because people don't respect their own identity and nation. Its ironic, everybody in europe likes to maintain their own identity. I am Italian but from the south and i am a proud of it. I am proud of both my region and my nationality.
It is only pakistanis that wish to be something else. Sadly such levels of jahilyat are a little too common in Pakistani society.
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
because you’ve been part of it!
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
"sab chalta hai" phrase very true in Pakistan.
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
Well guys my poser was to find out why is it that Pakis who’ve spent the majority of their lives in the west and furthermore realize the sordidness of the state of affairs back home, why do we go back and get involved in the same things we’re against… say… kickbacks to get our job done. The same people who’d dare not budge when in line for their turn would now quite easily push aside others to get to the front.
I guess you could tell me because it’s the way things work there and no one would be able to survive otherwise… with the educated and qualified lot getting into the workforce, why do we not see things changing for the better?
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
I guess you can call it freedom. Pakistanis living in west are obligated to follow strict laws but when they are back in Pakistan, they tend to be more relaxed. I guess we Pakistanis don’t change even after spending long time in west. So when we go back to our country we show our true colors. That’s the only reason I can think of.
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
There is lawlessness in Pakistan. Someone who tries to follow the law can’t get the job done. What a shame! One can fail only so many times before his patience level drops…When you join a herd of sheep you become a part of it…You need a Shepard (enforce discipline) in that country but all we get are corrupt ba$tards.
Those who agree with chalta hai theory…well fk you too!
Re: Sub Chalta Hai - is it in our blood?
Talib bhai ..Agar sub Na Chalta tou abhee aap pakistan may hotay. :)
