Malik atleast adds some half decent spin and fielding. Akmal is (allegedly) also a keeper. The other 4 are specialist bats. They couldnt nudge a 50 in a list A game on a green track.

Malik field wise is good - but how effective or threatning he really is as a bowler? As a batsman very average and poor technique especially when playing away from the sub-continent.

Akmal - discussed so many times. Don't want to bother with this joker any more.

His keeping is so shoddy. He started ut so well, I first saw him on the tour to Australia...a few years back. Kept well, fleet feet...now he misses chances any 1st class wkt would make.

Foster would never miss such chances!

^ I know these guys are not doing well, but here is my point. These "jokers" have taken Pakistan to the 3rd and 4th spot in tests and ODI. The 6 odd teams below them must have some real pathetic jokers in them. Either your analysis are a joke or we are not that bad. Which one is it?

Did you follow the first side game Pakistan played after landing SA? Almost everyone was hitting centuries. Its about "pressure" of real game.

no i think losing is bad when you are good enough to win against s.a and i think pakistan is based on their talent .they are ranked higher than s.a in test matches anyway.

Pakistan is ranked third, but does that ranking include Pakistan playing in SA against SA from past? NO, pitches do really matter in games.

Being ranked 4 out of 8 (effectively, no Zimbo or Bang) is not a great achievement. Look at the ICC table, there is a few points seperating teams 2-6 after Australia. These are all average teams, we are in that group.

Now add that we only win in Asia, and you see what I’m saying. Our bowlers are good guys, but the batting-its worthless, bar the 3.

am not upset at all. At least Pak teamis giving a fight. Losing is not a bad thing if the team at least tries and I think this team has played reasonably well in SA.

They are fighting and the top order should have been more patient. But then the new ball had awkward and unpredictable bounce, bad toss to loose. SA won the toss, and chose to field.
Woolmer said he has never seem such a pitch here for atleast 10-15 years.

I think we should back up our team, doesn't matter if they aren't playing well at the moment. There i still a lot of Cricket to come.

Pak is struggling with lots of injuries, and the SA pitches are not helping their cause either.

We are not noticibly more successful then Saf, Eng, India, Sri Lanka etc. We are average, on par with much of the competition.

Define conditions? Really, have you seen any cricket mate? Bar the B3, the lads cant bat in Australia, England, South Africa...these are the places where pitches tend to be slightly competitive. Bowler friendly. Any fool can ave 50 if you only play in Faisalabad!

Quality is the ability to conquer all conditions, or the majority of conditions.

The point is: not to take defeat outside Pak too hard, as we are always behind the 8 ball owing to our weak batting.
