I was just reading about Queen Helene’s Mint Julep mask and thought I would try it to freshen up my tired dull face (I am pregnant and not exactly glowing inside or out).
So today I tried it and my husband noticed it (and this is a guy who doesn’t notice anything at all unless specifically told). It even brightened up my mom’s skin and face.
I would definitely recommend this face mask for a quick pick me up and see a difference.
I also tried the Pedi-Egg on my mom’s heavily calloused and dry feet and the results were really good. It really took off lots of dead skin and without any harshness (which typically happens with blades used on feet).
Once again I would recommend this for heavily calloused and dry feet. I just need to find a cream/lotion that is heavy coverage and will provide soft feet.
Please share anything that seemed too good to be true but actually gave you good results.
Re: Stuff that you were skeptical about but really works
Coconut oil...is amazing stuff. Not the desi kind...the extra virgin one.
I use it on my hair (makes it unbelievably soft), my skin if I ever react to jewelry (happens a lot to me and when I use evco the redness and irritation are gone overnight), my heels in the winter, etc.
I feel it just absorbs differently versus other oils.

Rosehip oil. It did wonders on my hands in the winter - they were so dry and started to crack, but the rosehip oil 'repaired' them. It also helps heal scars. (Thank you Stoppit for introducing us, it's my new best friend).
Goat's milk is also very nourishing. I've just started using pure goat's milk soap in the shower and my skin is starting to feel and look divine.

Whoop! Same here for me, when I first ordered it I never expected it to be so useful. And what is up with so many people getting dry/cracked/sore hands in the winter? My sister and work friend both have to use it on their hands for the same reason... but it really does work and better than the hand creams they were using.

Queen Helene's Mint Julep mask and Pedi-Egg are also 2 of my fav. products. The pedi-egg is awesome! Even my hubby loves it!
Oil: I never would've though to use oils on my face or body. But once I started using Argan, I was amazed at how great it worked. Plan on trying Rosehip too after this is out. I will never put any other creams or lotions since these oils do such an amazing job.
Vaseline: With the exception being vaseline....lol. When I'm sick and skin is super dry and doesn't "behave". I apply oil on my face, and about an hour later....apply a thin layer of vaseline all over face. The next day my skin is baby smooth. This also does wonderful for hands and feel...heck anywhere in the body. Yes its think and sticky. But if you want to get rid of dry skin, apply this at night....and you'll be amazed the difference in the morning. I have combo acne-prone skin and this has never broken me out.
Moroccon Oil: Since I started using this a few months ago, I got rid of all my gels, mouusse etc. This makes my hair manageable and not sticky, and makes a big difference with frizz.

@Paheli, what did the Argan oil to your skin ?
It's just moisturized my skin much better than other lotions/creams I was using before. Plus I do chemical peels and I find the oil to be much more soothing afterwards than other lotions/creams.

Oh and for some reason, I lovvvvvvvvvvvvve plain old cherry Chapstick. Its soooo much more soothing than anything else I have ever tried on my lips so far.
