IREM

sorry but do u need GRE for Master in Computer Science as well..??
I thought its just for graduate study in engineering ....

Anyway best of luck :encourage kerne walla icon :

Nibbs thanks :)

GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination [not engineering :) ] so you do need it for applying to all masters in USA...except for MBA or business degrees [for that there's GMAT] and medicine [MCAT for that] and law [LSAT]

I am also planning to take GRE test, but for that need some good guidance from someone who has good score, for which material should be studied.
guidance for the newbie in GRE.
Any further help will be appreciated.

me too! one month left! got alot of pirated kaplan cds from pakistan though ;)

ohh so many ppl up for GRE , well i took my GRE test in january this year and that too in the new format. I will write a detailed post on the metarials and stuff i covered. Just need some time to do so, till then feel free to ask me any questions.......

*Though first and the single most important thing in GRE, start buliding your vocabulary NOW!! *

Best of luck to all of you!

I recently applied to grad school. I am required to take either the GRE or MAT - Miller's Analogies Test. Any idea what the differences are between the two? Does one have more weight than the other? Thanks

I dont know about MAT but almost all schools I applied to for Grad school needed GREs...I would say its the most popular and widely used

hey guys

i’m back…

sorry for disappearing and thanks a lot for your replies

these days i’ve started cramming the word list from this princeton review gre word smart book…i’m still on A tho

anahndi - never heard abt MAT bro

saby thanks 4 da info

ds dont stress bro just start working…[look who’s talking  ]
did u check all the online documentation about analytical writing? try to get some latest gre books and chek the anal wr sections there for more info

Spock u taking the gre’s too? g’luck

fizion - i think the best thing to do is firstly do all the practice stuff on the GRE website
learn the vocab [most comprehensive list is the 3500 word list in barron’s but its huge n there r smaller ones from princeton review as well]
then u shud buy some other books and study from them too like kaplan etc
and take tons of practce tests..

best of luck guys
