Re: Studying after marriage
Most of the doctors (male and female) I know did their postgraduate studies after getting married and some had kids too. It is definitely very hard but can be done.

Re: Studying after marriage
It's different for doctors in my opinion, because their profession requires so many years of education. An engineering grad can be done with his Doctorate by the time he is 28 whereas a doctor has just finished med school at 28. They have to marry before finishing their education, because everyone can't wait that long.

my cousin did her PHD with 2 children.....so its not impossible

in North America, a medical student finishes his/her at age 25-26 and his/her residency by by 29-31 depending on what the specialization is in.

So I exaggerated it a bit. Let me see. I'm 23 and I am done with my 4 years of university. Now I can apply for med school. Another 5 years in med school. That's 28, and I haven't even done my residency yet. 29 Must be people who started school very early and didn't waste time after their undergrad.
Re: Studying after marriage
My sister started and completed her undergrad after shaadi. 2 kids later and 7 months into a pregnancy she was done! It's hard, but she had a veryyy strong support system. Her MIL (god bless her!!) was so helpful and took care of the kids. And her FIL was very supportive of her studying.

Re: Studying after marriage
Its possible but its hard and your need husband by your side fully backing you in it.
My wife completed her Grad after getting shadify with me. My mom did her 2nd Masters when we were going to school. It was much harder for my mom though with kids and combine family setting but abbu was with her and she did it in flying colors.
Re: Studying after marriage
OP, a good indicator would be to look at the other **girls in his family **and whether they have carried on studying or working after marriage.. If the sisters and sils do of course you can be a bit more confident that you'll also be able to..
My mum studied and worked after marriage but she didn't have kids for more than 6yrs which wouldn't be acceptable to many ppl even now.. My dad encouraged her, helped with the housework etc. and she wasn't living with inlaws so there wasn't much extra stress or pressure..

if there is a will, there is a way!...sure, one can do whatever he/she likes to do if a goal is set!!!
