Would it be safe to travel to India?
Is that 2 separate questions?
PG
I was in a 3 continent MBA prog, europe, US and asia, and had a blast.
In undergrad I was in 2 study abroad programs, the program was a seminar type program and we travelled thru several different countries and many diff unis through the course of the term.
I would highly recommend it. Some unexpected stuff happened later otherwise i had intended to spend one more summer abroad, but decided that an internship with a top notch company was better at that stage.
Travel to India, u may want to ask Indians here. I dont think u will have problems.
I went to India in 1991, which was considered the worst time for Pakistanis to go there, but that was all biased rhetoric. I had fun there, and we could even go out in shalwar kameez, and it was absolutely safe. The only thing that I would recommend is that before travelling to a different city, make sure you go to the police station and get authorization/visa to travel to different cities. Luckily we did that, and when we went to Agra, a guy from there cbi came and asked us for the authorization. Go for it!!
being a girl it might be a bit risky but i'm sure its doable especially if u go to a big city
my indian female friends r very independent and they tell me girls can do everything by themselves in india
i also had an american friend who just went backpacking alone to india when she was 16
so its definitely doable if u r up for it...
do u have ppl u know there? r u going by urself or under some program w/ other students? does it provide housing and food and transportation etc?
where in india r u thinking of going? how long do u plan to stay?
have u been alone away from home b4?
hmmm...neways...good luck
such experiences are always gr8!
on a side note what inspired you to pick india for such an experience? are u in film production??
and my guess would be that india is as safe as pakistan or perhaps any other 3rd world country. u might want to read about the recent incident which happened in new delhi(with the sweden delegate). i remember reading a related news on bbc that in new delhi women aren't safe.
