Re: study habits for exam taking

no t.v
no internet
no music
limited food etc etc
my sleep gets limited , don't know y ?

Re: study habits for exam taking

I just cant start.... it always happens. Exams start in less than a week, gap of a day or so between them. I have not even read a page or made any notes.

Tend to eat a lot more too with worry, once I figure out I have to start and cant find something else to occupy me all is good usually. Hope that day is tomorrow.

I now so wish all my modules had a coursework element to them, the ones that did I am near sure will pass. This time last year, final year as UG I had no exams at all. I did all my coursework; loads of it dissertation etc... and went off on a holiday while everyone else was stressing like crazy.

Re: study habits for exam taking

Re: study habits for exam taking

drink loads of orange juice and lemonade.

Re: study habits for exam taking

Studying with others in a places like library always helps. I've always experienced that when you study with others, you end up learning more than if you were to study alone.

Thanks for the tips Dushi :)

Re: study habits for exam taking

^
I could never study in the library or any place other than home. I used to see here & there… couldn’t pay attention :bummer: . I know its weird but oh well. i guess, i turned out ok

Re: study habits for exam taking

People tell me that reviewing notes right after the lecture really helps.

For exams, sit in different locations for different subjects that are being reviewed.

After a long study session, take a short nap.

Dont get anxious or nervous.

Use flashcards.

Review everything 3 times if possible.

Re: study habits for exam taking

naie yar, mein samjhi nahaane ke liay kaha tha :smack:

i meant how would drinking cold water help?:bummer:

Re: study habits for exam taking

i can’t either, you have to be quiet in library, at home i memorize/remember the material by writing as well as reading it over and over again.

Re: study habits for exam taking

Cuz it’ll clear ur throat so you can sing better. When you sing, you will be more alert (to make sure the voice comes out nice). And once you’re alert, you can go back to studying :phati:

J/k :cb:

Re: study habits for exam taking

Same here. Doesn't have to be Library, it can be any place (room etc) as long as it does not have too much stuff to distract you.

Re: study habits for exam taking

yep know what u mean, I get really distracted at the library with ppl coming and going:bummer:. Except the only way I know how to revise is to keep rewriting my notes ( every section is multicoloured:)- apparantly different colours help for the information to go in) over and over again. I cant just read it- overwise info doesnt go in:grumpy:

So I need loads of paper,I alone am probably a cause of destruction for the rain forests:D

Re: study habits for exam taking

it keeps the mind calm and cool
as i would have loved to do for someone who is studying for his major professional exam these days.

Re: study habits for exam taking

lol haha that’s why i write once on paper and read it over and over and then at the end i write it on notecards. for one my hands start aching from writing too much and cuz i don’t want to waste paper :bummer:

Dushwari: ooh okay, i didn’t know that, but i always drink cold water no matter wut so

HHL: aaho i agree with u buny
