pehli baat main kabhi parti nahi maghar kabhi ghalti say hpo jae to i always go for self studies.i cant concentrate on studies when someones around me

:D so group studies never work for me but works good when u have to live in hostels

Group shud not have more than 3, ideally 2 is best.

I can only study about what intrigues me .
I had great difficulty reading course materials in pakistan.
After grade 10 I used to study no more that a week in whole year. In some case one night and exam next day.
If I ever asked a teacher for a book from a real author, rather than punjab text book board, teacher always gave me strange look.
My mamoon had a library of his own, I used to borrow books from him and read them. He actually gave me his “Asian Drama” all three volumes.
I was then only child in the family who got books from mamoon. I am proud :snooty:
My father was worried about kind of books I always wanted to read. But when I asked him for bang-y-dara he bought it, wrote a note on first page, and gave it to me. Guess what I am proud again:snooty:
Good thing I came to canada , now I search on amazon , buy a book get it in 4-5 days . I can read what ever I want. Life is Good :slight_smile:

I used to enjoy studying in groups coz we rarely studied and used to waste time prank calling people. A friend of mine can talk like a guy so we used to get her to ring people up :cb: The people who we used to call ranged from teachers to friends to our beloved class fellows :smiley: kitne masoon bachay hain hum :cb:

However, this year I guess people have become serious and now I just prefer to study on my own. It’s much better coz you don’t have any distractions. I can’t study when my friends are around coz we all end up doing something else :frowning:

Studying in a group ends in us munching our way through food and getting NADA on paper!

Individual studying ends up in atleast 2 papers (front and back) of notes/essaying etc etc.

So I would say individual sutdying in a calm and serene place…:hayaa: so heavenly

I did not have the concept of group studies till I went to this very demanding degree program at very prestigious center of excellence in Karachi.
Here you had no choice but to go for group studies for some subjects. The faculty and the curriculum were very demanding and fast paced. You could do self studies for the subjects which you were exposed to but the ones for which you had no background you had to resort to group studies. In addition the motivating factor was company of good friends for purposes of studies and fun.
If a bunch of young men get together and have no worries other than exams and studies it is impossible that the fun does not happen. It did , but some of us were voice of reason and made sure that not too much shughal happens. Those of us who were serious about studies got their degree in due time but others were left behind and completed degree later than some of us. We did take breaks to go eat out , go for chai paratha late in the night, play carrom , chess , etc. But not too much fun .:)

Group studies for us friendz meant everything but studying !! we used to say we're getting together to study but we never actually got anything done :@:

As far as studying 4 exams; its usually done alone... but for assignments and all, we usually sat together at uni and shared/ compared results...
